I'm not sure but I think someone who was editing my post (hmmrobmm) might have deleted a few pictures I wanted to add to the Duck post. So here you go. This time I enhanced them to their true colors (shining through) sorry just broke in to song. Here you go and this time I'm not leaving the computer unattended. (hmmrobmmm) Sorry, I must need a cough drop or something.



This was just a cute picture Rob took. Vanna has moments when she really like holding your hand and now I finally have it documented. And the shirt I'm wearing is actually pretty cute from the front, but maybe not so much from the back, I still love it though, thanks again Micaela!



This one I wanted to post to show how monstrous these flowers can grow here. I mean Sean is short, but MAN, those are tall bushes.






Kaelin ran a couple laps around the lake. She really, really ran. I'm not sure why she thought that was so fun, but I'm glad I was able to run around the other way to catch an action shot.





Almost a full view of the lake, if you visually finish out the oval on both sides, you get the picture.




Oh, I guess there is the other side. Vanna was just content to sit and watch them ducks. Next time we'll have to bring bread. They'd come over thinking we had some and then slowly float away, disappointed. Sorry duckies.



There were some super cute and fuzzy baby duckies. Three yellow and one brown one right in the front of the picture.



And I know I'm kind of lame, but the first time Rob and I went here, it was cloudy, with a misty rain. All the moss was damp and super green. So what do you think the first thing I thought of was??? Leave a comment so I can see if anyone else had the same thought.






All right those were all the misplaced pictures. Give me a couple days and I'll put up our beach pictures from today.

Lagoa Das Patas - Duck Lake

Up in the mountains, up this windy, wooden road you find...


Duck Lake, in the picture its called Lagoa de Falca (Falcon) , but all the locals call it Lagoa Das Patas (Ducks)



The kids running excitedly to go see it. It was a pretty busy Saturday.




There are picnic tables and grills for picnics, which we will be doing another time.



Here's a picture of a few of the residents at the lake.






This is basically the whole lake, but it is so pretty. The pictures really don't do it justice, but i don't have time to enhance them right now.




Savanna loved the ducks




Sean loved some random cave. I think its there for the ducks?



They also have super cute rock tables.



Cute little river bed. And truthfully this is so much greener than it looks in these pictures

Savanna loved the hydrangeas (which are everywhere). I love how her flower is blurred because she was spinning it.




Kaelin wanted to act like a bride. That is one bunch of the hydrangeas, not only are they everywhere but they usually are pretty big too.




Kaelin tried to get a picture of me and Vanna. She was cute, she kept saying how there was "a doggy in the camera, Woof, Woof!" That's what our photographer kept saying during our photo shoot in Utah. Which turned out great! If your interested, its Images by Jami .




The kids were so done with pictures. I tried to make this picture work so bad and it never did. This one just shows their frustration and I still tried a couple more times after this.

I'm not sure what she was doing here but its cute, I like how her face is glowing because of the sun coming through the trees.

Kaelin's tooth

I'm sure most of you know that Kaelin lost her first tooth. She was telling everyone that I pulled it out, which technically I did but here's a picture to show how loose it actually was. So yes I did pull it out but it really didn't need my help.






And here is the happy after picture. So was thrilled that it didn't hurt when I pulled it out. And that stinkin' tooth fairy left glitter ALL over the house! Maybe next time she'll walk instead of fly to Kaelin's bed.

Our home

These are way out of order and I'm kind of tired of posting pictures, so you get a few until the house looks better

Laundry room, I love how big it is, currently its a big mess trying to figure out where to put vacuums and brooms and what not



Most of the kitchen with a window that opens into the dining.


Dining room, we added the leaf to make a bigger table and shifted things a little.


Living room, looks much more livable now, but not all the way done.



This is our view from our backyard. We will soon add a fence, so that we are ready when the right dog comes along. They are definitely not hard to come by.



Sean's room, give the kids some slack, they had been cooped up in our hotel for almost two weeks and we were letting them go crazy with what little stuff they had.


Kaelin's room, which now is so stocked with art stuff. We are looking for some kind of desk set up for her so its more usable


Savanna's "office". I'm so glad that it was big enough for her to have her own room. She's doing great in a big girl bed as well. The kids all LOVE having their own rooms!




And yet, sometimes all they want to do is hang out in Mom and Dad's room. That is one of our closets, the other is right next to it. I quite enjoy having my own closet.

Swimming holes

We went on an island tour and they took us to one of many swimming holes. I think this one is the most popular though. There won't be too many commentaries, its just too pretty.


Try to click on this picture so you can see, that those bubbles are actually jelly fish. They give a slight sting, but I'm still nervous about swimming with them.

Hydrangeas grow everywhere, but I found out its not polite to pick them, unless you're up in the mountains.

The streets "downtown" are quite narrow some times. Rob ended up buying a "bomb" car so that we don't have to worry about navigating these streets in our mini van. Oh, and this is a two way road, people park anywhere and everywhere.


There are many brightly colored houses. Most are white but then they paint really bright trims. Although a friend of ours has a ultra orange house right outside their back window. Not the view they were counting on but it'll wake you up in the morning.



Spirit houses are all over. They are little churches that are elaborating painted. The belief behind it is something like these churches house the Holy Spirit and a twice (I think) a year there is procession to bring the Holy Spirit to a deserving persons' home. They get to keep the Holy Spirit in their home for a while before it gets taken to someone else home. There are at least one in every town. I have seen about ten already and I know there are A LOT more.
