This just proves, kids will watch anything on TV

I have an exercise DVD that I pull out every once in a while, but I can never get all the way through because some one ALWAYS ends up getting hurt, needing something to eat, or making a mess. Anyway, a couple Saturdays ago, I tried again but this time Rob was home. To my surprise the kids actually did most of the routine with me. There were a few close calls with high kicks and jumps, but everyone survived. Even Rob. Here are a few pictures that Rob snapped and he graciously left me out of them, (mostly).

Sean caught on to what Rob was doing and ran off shortly thereafter.

Snow!!!

The other morning Kaelin's friend Jayden called to tell us it was snowing outside. Needless to say the kids were pretty excited. We had to leave for school in 30 minutes or so, but I let them go out and play for a little while anyway. I didn't know how long the snow would last, so Kaelin and I ran out to snap a picture before it stopped. Kaelin quickly realized that she DID need shoes like I told her.

Realizing how cold the ground is.

Well the snow didn't stop. It intensified. We had our own little winter wonderland for about ten minutes and then we had to go downtown for school. Which by the way, had barely any snow at all!

Sean very cautiously ventured out into the snow.

Trying to catch a snow flake on her tongue, (with shoes this time).

This has only been our third "snow storm" in the 2 1/2 years that we have lived in Memphis and it's already gone.

Picture Palooza

When it comes to presents, Rob and I can never wait. So, I actually got my anniversary present a week or two ago. I have been having WAY too much fun. Enjoy the many, many pictures. One day, I'll take pictures as good as some of my friends. Maybe they can be my tutors?? The pictures are all mixed up and out of order but I don't care.

They other day Kaelin was so good and made sure everyone was wearing their sunglasses. Sean was so proud of his, that he sat still for a picture!

Savanna's cute little tootsies. That was a hard picture to get because she kept splashing.

Sean being tickled. Maybe now I'll be able to get more pictures with him smiling.

This is just the beginning of "boards study". To his credit, he is watching Savanna while I'm off playing with my camera. (You can see her in the very right of the shot)

Another cute tubby picture. She's my beauty!

Rob wanted to try my camera too. Not looking very attractive, but there aren't many pictures of me on here so, "what the hay!"

Miss Jayden Thomas. She let me interrupt her playing to snap a few pictures.

Jayden again. I love the look on her face!

Jayden and her beautiful mama, Micaela. I was just testing out the zoom.

The girls digging for treasure. A popular activity for our kids.

Sean just being Sean. He wouldn't look at me for just one second. And then he ran away saying, "You'll never take my picture now! Ha Ha ha!"

Kaelin following her orders..."Don't smile, just stand there" Every time I'd put up the camera she'd make this really goofy, cheesy smile. Not her normal smile in the slightest.

Kaelin climbing her favorite tree. If Elizabeth is seeing this, yes, I stole the pose. Yours turned out a lot cuter though.

Sean's attempt to climb the tree. Again, not wanting to look at me.

More digging. We have lost more utensils this way.

Savanna trying to swat the camera, I was able to distract her by snapping my fingers. Rookie mistake on her part.

I got him! He's even grinning!

Full speed running!

Gotta love those cheeks!

She enjoys her toes, looking at them, touching them, one day I bet she'll suck on them.

Well, I am finally done, for now. There will be more pictures to come but not this many at once. Now I just need to get a bag for my camera and then I will feel better about taking it with me.

Our abbreviated life!

Just some fun pictures to see where we have been. I was just going to put pictures from the last six years but I couldn't resist putting some others. Rob beat me to the lovey-dovey, thankful stuff so I'll do pictures.

My Best Friend

6 years ago I married the most wonderful woman in the world. As we celebrate our anniversary on Saturday, I wanted to let her know how much I love her. Tina is the most thoughtful person you'll ever meet and always puts the needs of others before her own. She has always supported me in the things that I want to do, especially school. She puts up with my know it all attitude and incessant need to be right. Tina is also the most wonderful mother for our children. She is always putting the needs of our kids before her own. Kaelin, Sean, and Savanna are lucky to be able to call her mom. To those of you who don't know, Tina is from New Jersey and if the planets are in alignment, you'll get to hear her sweet Jersey accent (which she hides very well) which is another thing I love about her. I love her sense of humor and am glad that Heavenly Father allowed us to meet. She is always trying to learn words in Chinese so that she can share that special part of my life with me. So to my Jeui Hou ge Pahng Yauh. Ngoh Ngoi Leih. We have enjoyed 6 great years and look forward to the rest of our marriage together. I love you my bestest friend in the whole world.

Chicken and Curls

Chicken

Kaelin loves to cook. When Ratatouille came out, it also came with a DVD with different cooking shows, involving either the movie and/or kids. Her favorite one is a Rachel Rey episode. She has a young boy named, Beechum, help her cook "chicken toes". Chicken toes because they are smaller than chicken fingers. Anyway, she loves making them and we all love eating them.

The assembly line of flour, eggs, and special Beechum coating.

Father/daughter chefs posing for a photo op.

Curls

Kaelin also loves curly hair. She's always asking me to make it curly and it never lasts. Sometimes we go to the mall and get ringlets done by the "straight iron kiosk". I tell them if the curls last I'll buy the iron. I've never bought one. Sometimes I beat a couple egg whites to make my own curls more defined and last longer, so I thought I'd try it on Kaelin, with some sponge rollers.

I know its sideways but I forgot to rotate and I'm too lazy to do it all over again.

This is right after she saw the curls. She was pretty excited that it worked.

I had to separate the curls to cover up scalp spots. In the end it was very Shirley Temple-ish

Really striking a pose! We will definitely be doing this again!

Kaelin updated

I don't know what's happening, Kaelin updated but it doesn't show that she did. So, I'm putting it on here.

It only took 2 1/2 years

We finally made it to the Children's Museum of Memphis. It was fun! I've been to a couple others that are so much bigger that I have been putting CMOM off. I've been afraid that I wouldn't be able to do it by myself. After all the worrying, I finally went, with Rob, and realized it's much smaller than I expected and wasn't as scary as I thought. The kids loved it!

We were pretty impressed that when our kids went "grocery shopping", they filled their carts with fruits, vegatables, and fish. It was really cute watching them go up and down the aisles.

They got to climb all over this big fire truck.

Sean especially liked driving the truck. They also had a police car and a minivan. He made sure to drive all of those, as well.

Kaelin really liked taking apart this body. She was able to see where her food goes after she eats and what the doctors fixed during her surgery a few years ago.

She totatlly looks like some kind of giddy mad scientist.

Playing in the water. Although, they could barely reach the water and it was so cold. Is that how it usually is??

Kaelin flying a plane. I didn't go up but, her and Rob said there were so many buttons and switches. I liked making the plane down stairs fly by using a big fan.

I hope we'll be able to go back again before we leave. The kids really did have a lot of fun.
