We're here

Well we made it safely and easily to Utah. No major problems on the road. The kids all did great. We don't have the internet yet, so this is going to be short. Kaelin started her first day of Kindergarten and Sean will start on Tuesday. One problem Sean is supposed to be potty trained by then. Well, we'll see how we do. So far he's doing great, but I still have to help him remember. Rob will start work on Monday and then back to a normal schedule, sort of. More to come when we get hooked up. Love and miss you!

Bubble snake

One benefit of waiting in a doctor's office, is that I get to read the parenting magazines that I'm too cheap to subscribe to. I had to go pick up the kids' medical records and since they weren't ready I got to read about making bubble snakes. They were SO easy and SO fun! I will definitely do this little craft again. Better than regular bubbles, the kids can blow them, very easily, by themselves and I had all the supplies on hand. Also, a whole lot cleaner than traditional bubbles. Fun, fun, fun!

Sean's picture is how they usually look, the pictures of Kaelin and Jayden were when they needed to be re-dipped in the soap. The snake just gets bigger and longer until the wind breaks it off.

Kindred Spirits?

My mother's brother, Steven came to visit us here in Memphis. Kaelin has been so excited for him to come because he loves tie-dye almost as much as Kaelin does. Uncle Steven has an incredible collection of tie-dye shirts, but Kaelin has a bathing suit, towel, shoes, socks, underwear, blanket, etc, etc, etc (thank you Aunt Brandi). Anyway, here are a couple pictures of Uncle Steven.

My kids really loved having him come to visit. He always gives the kids nicknames. He called Kaelin "pebbles" when she was little. Sean he gave the nickname of "Hollywood" because he's almost always wearing his sunglasses. He think he finally settled on "Blondie" for Savanna. He decided to change Kaelin's name to "Bugs" because she told him that she already had a nickname from her Aunt Brandi and that it was Bugs.

I just had to

I know I already did a post today but I couldn't help taping Sean and sharing it with all of you. This is a primary song that Kaelin recently learned. We just finished lunch when he stood up on my step stool (maybe I'm short) and started singing it at the top of his lungs. If anyone talks to Sister Bates, she really needs to see this. He isn't even in primary but he learned it from Kaelin.

The actions are all his own.

What? An ant in the room!?

When we started packing up toys I was a little concerned of what the kids were going to do all day. They were fine and they actually played more with less toys. I am pretty certain that box won't find it's way into their new bedrooms. Then we started packing up furniture. I wasn't sure how they were going to react when they saw an empty room.

In this last one they are saying "empty room" and then Sean stops and says "What? An ant in the room?" and then continues running.

Here's pictures for you Brandi since you can't see the videos

Savanna just roaming from one empty room to another

Why? I don't know?

This is what they resort to, with no furniture or toys.

Kaelin put stickers all over her legs and funnily enough my sister has an almost exact copy of this picture when she did the same thing as a kid.

Parenting

I always thought that parenting would change as you had more children. Your first one, you are extra cautious. Your first get a bath every day with a lavender massage after. Your second gets a bath every other day and gets some lotion in the winter for dryness. Your third gets a bath when they start to stink and lotion? do you even have any? I'm just joking but you get what I'm talking about. Anyway, I think I did birthdays a little backward.

Savanna's birthday cake. She has favorite stuffed animal flamingo so I thought she'd like a flamingo cake. So she had a personally interest in the cake and it turned out cute.

Sean's first birthday cake. A square cut away from the rest of the cake. The palm tree looks a little funny. The only reason its a palm tree is because we were in Florida and he was calmed down by being outside looking at the trees. And he burnt himself on the massive candle we got.

And Kaelin's first cake was store bought by her aunt Brandi and had cute bugs on it, mostly because her room was decorated with lady bugs. We didn't take any pictures, or even buy a candle.

Squeakers

Savanna got some sneakers that squeak when she walks. They are so stinking cute. And I'm so mad that I turned the camera sideways AGAIN. I need to make a sticker and post it on the camera so I don't forget again. Anyway, its really cute.
