Alright now we'll end our hotel stay for this post and move on to something else. If only the pictures didn't post backwards, this would be some much easier.

Major picture post
Here are a whole lot of pictures, but I'm going to try and break it up between a couple posts in a row. My computer is running really slow so we'll see how this goes.
The kids waiting to leave from Utah. I flew to Atlanta by myself with the kids. It went really well actually.
A snap of the kids "stuff". They each got a new pillow and they each had a backpack. We ended up being delayed for a bit and they got a chance to play in the airport.
Savanna, thankfully, slept for most of the first flight.
And thank you Delta for having individual televisions for my little ones.
Kaelin chatted with the young lady next to her for the whole flight. Luckily the woman was just as chatty as Kaelin was.
We ended up having to sleep in the airport for a little while, just to find out that our plan to the Azores was delayed big time. The airlines put us up in a hotel for the rest of the day with meals taken care off. Rob and I ordered breakfast, locked the doors and slept while the kids ate and watched TV. It was beautiful!
This is us sleeping in our hotel at Lajes Field. Apparently we we still trying to get used to the time change. It's a six hour difference from Utah, so it messed us up pretty good.
Alright now we'll end our hotel stay for this post and move on to something else. If only the pictures didn't post backwards, this would be some much easier.

accidentally in love
Sorry still no pictures, but soon, very very soon.
This is a story about how limited resources could lead you to pure love. We need to store our bread in the freezer because it molds too quickly to buy more than one loaf at a time, but we go through the loaves to fast to only buy one. So, one day while making lunch I realized there wasn't enough bread for everyone to have a sandwich so I decided to toast mine, but since we currently don't have a toaster I broiled it in my oven. That worked out fine, so I start making a turkey sandwich but didn't have enough cheese for mine and the kids and me being the selfless mother that I am, I went without cheese. Or maybe I just didn't want to hear them crying about not having cheese on their sandwich. I really wanted some lettuce and tomato but settled for just pickles. If your wondering why I had little to no food, its because the grocery on base is closed on Mondays so it throws me off a little. Anyway, so I'm left with a toasted turkey and pickle sandwich...I love it!!! It has to be my favorite sandwich. So simple but so tasty! A little mayo and mustard complete the deal. I offer to all, to give my new love a try and let me know how you like it. If you don't like pickles (dill, of course) then I am sorry but you are missing out. As soon as we get a better internet feed I WILL post pictures. Until then, we are happy and sort of healthy. Rob and Kaelin have some issues with allergies and pressure change headaches. Savanna and I have some little stomach bug that we can't shake. I'm happy to saw that the time change went pretty smoothly as did everyone having their own rooms and ALL in big kid beds. Still minor unpacking and organizing to do in our house. Ocean views, and breezy sunny skies is our most frequent weather these days. We are all making friends and getting to know our neighbors quickly. I'll try an keep updated as much as I can.
Ciao!

Sorry no pictures
Not Yet. We are here though. We got held up in Baltimore because our plain was stuck in Greenland with some snow. We are in a hotel of sorts while we wait for our house to be ready. Rob was able to see two homes and he picked the better of the two. Now we wait for some furniture and the final cleaning before we can move in, which should be next Monday. Rob started work the day after we got here, most of the time he has been busy filling out more paperwork and trying to get us a set. The kids and I have been trying not to yell at each other too much by walking down to a park. We're pretty close to being acclimated to the humidity and the time change. We met a few families from our church and a couple of them have invited us over for dinner and some have offered the cars until ours arrives. All of our shipments of "stuff" have already arrived and its just waiting for a house to go into. I was sad leaving Memphis because it was a unique environment. We lived in a close knit community where most of us were in similar situations. Husband in school, no money, hectic schedules. I was sad to leave that. It's a comfort to know that it's very similar here on base. I'm enjoying getting to know our new Air Force family. I'm thankful to my Memphis family for teaching what good friends are and what fun you can have just sitting out in the sun on a hot day. I promise to get pictures up soon. I've had to hold back on taking pictures of the same view of the ocean. I don't know how anyone could get tired of waking up to see these views. Ate Logo!

Good-bye
I'm not going to be all mushy because I don't want to start that again. I already had to say good-bye to Marci and her family (my sister) and my Dad. ANYWAY, I fly out on Friday. Yup, this Friday!!! I'm going to visit Jayme (my other sister) to see her new baby and then heading home to make sure everything is packed. It still feels like I have so much to do. Wish me luck. I don't know when I'll get the internet working on base so I'll see you when I see you.

Too depressing
So due to the fact that I depressed too many people with my last post I am doing a more "fun" one by decree of my mother.
This past weekend we went to Idaho to surprise my sister Jayme for her birthday. We had a lot of fun. On the way back we stopped for lunch and in the same parking lot was a bank's water fountain display "thingy". Of course Sean wanted to go over to the water falls. So we took that time to snap some pictures.
This is my sister Marci and her daughter.
Three of the four sisters. It's too bad we didn't get a picture with Jayme while we were there. Good job to Kae, who snapped this picture.
Brandi, being a good sport and letting me take her picture
My three kids and Marci's one year old. You can tell they were pretty done with getting pictures taken by this time.

At the beginning of the "shoot", pretty happy except Van. And apparently I had a smudge on my lens. Oh well!
Over all the pictures all turned out pretty cute.

Bedtime
Bedtime is the end of the day. The days seems to rush by filled with cooking and cleaning, fighting and laughing, crying and playing, errands and checklists. Hugs and kisses fill the "in betweens". By the time sunset comes along it seems no matter how long the day might have felt, all of a sudden it has disappeared. The house settles down to rest and be quiet. I used to enjoy that calm, now I fear it. As bedtime nears I know silence is coming. I know darkness is coming. I'm afraid of the dark. It means that soon everyone will be asleep. Except me. Flipping through the channels trying to postpone my own bedtime. Knowing that I will be alone. I touch his pillow, missing him so much. Knowing that I can't help him, I can't hug him. I eventually fall asleep hoping that one of my kids will wake up and want to sleep in my bed, even if only for a few minutes. It's only been a week and a half. I miss my best friend. Goodnight. It's almost time for a new day to begin.

Stuff!
I posted about how all of our stuff was taken away. Well, here is the picture of all of our stuff. Believe it or not it is organized into three separate groups. Brandi very graciously let us commandeer her garage for two weeks while we went through it all. That is was our home of five looks like all laid out. Crazy!
